He smells like caramel and spice in a field of apples and rain,
Feels like the breath in my lungs, in the middle of February,
And tastes like chocolate-covered strawberries dipped in cotton candy;
The way cinnamon encapsulates my tongue with sugary hot.
He feels like the breath in my lungs, in the middle of February,
The way the crisp air hits my lungs in a refreshing pain.
The whole world could be on fire, in chaos,
but I’d still be making snow angels with a smile by him.
The way the crisp air hits my lungs in a refreshing pain-
I wanna run and dance, and scream and shiver;
Happy, giddy red cheeks and purple plum lips,
I could live in this snow forever.
I wanna run and dance, and scream and shiver
The tiny diamond ice crystals shimmer like his smile.
He’s strong as an iron stake on an ancient railroad track;
Honest as the very day I realized I love him.
The tiny diamond ice crystals shimmer like his smile,
I can’t help but stare; he doesn’t know how beautiful he is.
To the man that hung my moon and stars-
Thank you for saving me from the nightmares.
