Your black-tar heart and calloused hands
still creep inside my head;
caressing and bleeding into me,
rotten inside and out.
You revel in making my brain dissolve
into a mush of fear, anger and manipulation.
Upstanding savior to the outside,
menace and devil deep within.
Staying close, smile upon your twisted face,
only to morph into your grimace.
Once again, you have me;
your pedestal of sulfur and ash,
fitting for a king of molten deceit.
Victim, liar, narcissist.
Chameleon of night and death.
Everyone has a devil on their shoulder;
waiting just for the fall.
And mine is you.
