I broke him.
That’s the way he tells it anyway. He tells them all that I took his heart and ripped it out and stomped it into pieces.
Maybe I did…but he helped me do it.
He never treated me with love, or respect, or honor. He didn’t put my feelings first. He sat and he sulked, and he scolded. He took his temper and his shortcomings out on me. When that wasn’t enough, he would turn to “my” daughter.
Yeah, let’s not forget he’s her stepfather, but he never acted, nor treated her that way. And believe me, I noticed when he called her MY daughter. Yeah, that little, tiny piece of disrespect.
I saw it.
Apparently, an innocent child that you have known and raised for six quick, but long years doesn’t count enough to claim her as your own; to love and cherish and teach her how a man is supposed to treat her.
No, she’s not your daughter.
He tells them all I lied, and I cheated. Apparently, it only counts if he says so. His years of lying and cheating don’t count, because he’s a man and he has desires, and he felt unworthy and blah-blah-blah. Apparently, it doesn’t count if you don’t physically touch her skin; no not even if you’re pleasing each other live on a video.
Apparently, it only counts if you move a friend into your house, in a good-faith effort, to do what you believe at the time is helping him out. No, it doesn’t matter that he was just a friend, and you were just being a good person. You touched him after you separated from your husband, so you’re a shitty person.
He tells them all that it’s my fault our little daughter got hit by a car. He says I wasn’t watching her. He says my face was in my phone. He says he’s a better parent….
But, then he said I must figure things out on my own with her because he’s leaving her- to be a good parent…in another state.
Yes, sounds legit.
He always complains that I could ever have the audacity to sleep with another person after we separated, but it doesn’t count if he leaves for the weekend to see her. Nah, that doesn’t count because he’s a man and they have needs and desires, and I’m a woman so I’m supposed to be pure and chaste and wait for him to allow me to let another man touch me.
Yeah, that’s it.
Let’s not forget that he’s such an amazing father, and he’s so amazing that he decided he won’t take her to her last check up for the car accident he says he would’ve prevented, even though he said he’d take care of her appointments…and I bet he’ll demand some of her lawsuit money, because he “helped”.
But guys, I broke him.
