Battleground

It's a desolate world,

in a land gone mad.

You never even knew,

what I thought we had.

Shifting slowly

I look to you.

Your eyes have grown dark

it's a striking view.

Hemorrhaged heart break

monotonous stare.

You're a ghastly stranger

it's too much to bear.

Monster, monster!

Where has he gone?

I thought I knew that man

but I was wrong.

The mask is pulled

and the gloves came off.

There was no love here,

The battle's been lost.

Fight for your daughters

fight for your son.

Or just tell the whole world,

you've already won.

Tear me apart;

break me into pieces.

But, for God's sake,
